Intertextuality: This is when one text makes reference to another.
The three types of intertextuality: Appropriation- Is borrowing from text, but is adapted to make the 'old' become new. Allusion- Refers to another text, but doesn't explain the connection. It is up to the reader to make the connection. Parody: Is a comical imitation of a serious piece of text. This is done to entertain the audience.
